BA project
Inspired by the deconstructionism, and eclecticism in the postmodern era I designed this series of limited edition lamps. They are not meant for mass production, or to give good lightning, but rather to tell a story of how they are made, and why each one of them is unique.
By making an arch-lamp to use as my starting point, I created a mutual connection between each lamp. So all of the finished lamps are made only by using the materials of the original arch lamp (see picture no. 21, from top left)
Each part of the lamp are painted in a different transparency (from completely bold on the lamp`s foot, to all transparent at the lamp`s shade) to tell the parts apart, and to tell the story where they originally came from.
The pictures below are showing the whole process from paper mock ups to the finishing result..and everything in between.
